[rudder-users] rudder-agent 4.3.6 fresh install Debian problems

Hello,

the behaviour seems to be correct if I install rudder-agent from the running system and not inside Debian installer. This is a workaround for my current case, however it would be great if installation from d-i would be working as it did before.

I'm running a fresh install of Debian 9.6

Unfortunaltely I cannot cut&paste since the machine in question is in a protected network. I'll give the keypoints:

Service is loaded, /lib/system/system/rudder-agent.service; disabled; vendor preset: enabled)
Active: active (exited)
Process: ... ExecStart=/bin/true (..status=0/SUCCESS)

(repeating)
WARNING: No disable file detected and no agent executor process either. Restarting agent service...ok: stop service rudder-agent succeeded
ok: start service rudder-agent succeeded  Done

(file too long to type everything here)

Beginning (the service problems may be due to the fact, that installation of the agent is done during Debian installer run - this used to work before and is a key functionality for me for unattended deployments)

Last line in file is:
ok: Rudder agent check ran without errors

(every five minutes)
Stopped Rudder agent umbrella service.
Starting Rudder agent umbrella service...
Started Rudder agent umbrella service.



My next tests are to install rudder-agent from a running system instead of during Debian installer and to try the 5.0 agent version.
