Question #13433
closedHow to change ports?
Description
I'm referring to documentation included in 5.0 beta 2 (/rudder-doc/reference/5.0/installation/requirements.html)
Agents need to communicated to central server (root AND policy server) too ALL of these
tcp/443 (https) - Access Web interface/API AND send inventories
udp/514 (or tcp/514) - Send reports
tcp/5309 - Fetch policies
I have a webserver on 443, so I need to use a different port.
Also, to avoid port scanner, I'd like to setup different port numbers for all of these 3 ports.
Is it possibile? If yes, could you document it?

Sorry, it is not currently possible to change those ports.

Hi Mirko
The syslog port can be changed, through the configuration property rudder.syslog.port in file /opt/rudder/etc/rudder-web.properties
Once you changed the value, you have to restart rudder-jetty, and trigger a full generation.
The other ports are unfortunately not changeable now without big changes
