Description

The title says it all. Migrating directives is extremely slow and freezes all my browser windows while busy. Also, mass migration is not possible and right now it's quitte painful to migrate ~ 27 directives. Last but not least; migrating one directive takes ~ 5 clicks, which might not be necessairy.

I've upgraded the Rudder server VM. I doubled RAM (4G => 8G) and doubled the virtual sockets (2 CPUs => 4 CPUs) and now things are a bit faster.

  • Reproduced set to No

Dennis, I can't reproduce the slowness problem.

Could tell us if anything else is slow, or just that part ?

Also, could you create an other ticket (bug) for the migration user experience in 3.0 ? If possible, describe what you would like to be able to do.

Thanks,

Here is a gist about how one can use jq and Rudder API to quicken the migration process on case where there is no parameters to modify: https://gist.github.com/fanf/193ca80959dde12bc4d3

I'm closing that one for the performance part. The ideas will go into #4293
