Description

It would be great to have a little cross (X) to empty the filter search box and return to the "full" view. See #741.

The same should be applied to other similar filter boxes (technical logs for example).

I think the search box/buttons are great in the Directives screen, maybe we can just reuse that "component" everywhere else?

Arthur said to me that Jon wants him to stop working on it for the 2.4.0~beta3. It would be good to know why. Arthur, Jon, could you add details on the advancement made, please ?

At least, this is certain that this issue will not be done for the version 2.4.0~beta3.

It's been set with NCH that it was very more complicated that it seems, stating the search module is integrated in the DataTables JQuery plugin, it's not possible to add simply this "box". So NCH and JCL agreed on letting this bug aside for now.
