As you have seen in the repository we build packages for RHEL 3 for
Rudder 2.6, 2.9 and 2.10.
All supported OSes are referenced in documentation (
http://www.rudder-project.org/rudder-doc-2.6/rudder-doc.html#Nodes_supported_OS
) and in changelog pages (like
http://www.rudder-project.org/foswiki/System/Documentation:ChangeLog26)
it's safe to install, and we would be glad to have your feedback on it :)

We don't build packages for RHEL 4 for now.
We haven't tested it, but i guess you could try installing the package
for RHEL 3 on your RHEL 4.
