Hi,

I'm not sure of the default behaviour, but it's possible that you have 
the Sun Java install but still using by default the Openjdk. Could you 
check that indeed this is the Sun Java you are using by running the 
following command ?
$ java -version

On my system, the result is
java version "1.6.0_26"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_26-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 20.1-b02, mixed mode)
