[rudder-announce] Rudder 2.9.0 RELEASE available !

Dear Rudder community,

We are very proud to announce that we have just released a new version:
Rudder 2.9.0.

Major new features include:

  * The ncf framework is now included in Rudder
    (https://github.com/Normation/ncf)
  * Rules can now be placed in a hierarchy of categories, allowing you
    to better organize them
  * You can choose to apply a Directive to Rules directly from the
    Directive interface
  * Every table of Rudder web interface will now remember how many
    entries to display
  * Directives may now be applied directly to multiple Rules from the
    Directive screen
  * You can configure parts of the CFEngine server behavior directly
    from Rudder web interface

This version of Rudder is a final release. We have tested it thoroughly
and believe it to be free of any major bugs.
However, this branch is not marked "stable", since it still has to be
proven reliable on production systems over a period of several months.
The current "stable" release is 2.6.*.
