Welcome to the Rudder wiki!

Rudder is "drift assessment" software. It manages the configuration of an information system from a central web console and keeps that configuration in good health, automatically reporting or correcting errors, keeping drift from nominal behaviour low.

It combines the power of CFEngine configuration management agents with inventory, reporting and higher level features to keep an eye on your information system.

Rudder's web interface is developed in Scala with the Lift web framework. Along with CFEngine, it uses the versatile Fusion Inventory to generate inventory information about servers. We would like to thank everyone from these communities and at CFEngine AS for their help and responsiveness each time we needed it. These tools were of immense value for the success of building our software.

Rudder is open source - we welcome ideas, comments, criticism, patches and any other contributions!
